Travel Nurse – Wound Care

5x8s – 40hrs – 8a to 4:30p

13 weeks

$52.50/hr – $2100 Weekly

We are seeking an experienced Wound Care Registered Nurse to provide skilled and compassionate care to patients with complex wound care needs. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering direct patient care, developing and implementing wound care treatment plans, and educating patients and their families on proper wound care procedures.

Responsibilities:

 

– Assess patient wounds and develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with physicians, wound care specialists, and interdisciplinary team members.

– Administer wound care treatments, including dressings, medications, and wound debridement.

– Monitor patient progress and document all wound care interventions, patient status changes, and outcomes.

– Educate patients, families, and caregivers on proper wound care procedures, self-care techniques, and prevention methods.

– Maintain active communication with physicians, wound care specialists, and other members of the healthcare team regarding patient progress and treatment plans.

– Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure a continuum of care for patients.

– Participate in quality improvement initiatives and research related to wound care.

Requirements:

 

– Registered Nurse with a current license to practice in Georgia or a compact licence.

– Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in wound care nursing.

– Certification in wound care nursing preferred.

– Familiarity with wound care dressings, medications, and debridement techniques.

– Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

– Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic healthcare environment
