We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate MedSurg/Tele, RN to join our healthcare team in Charlotte, North Carolina. As a MedSurg/Tele, RN, you will be responsible for providing excellent patient care in a fast-paced and dynamic medical-surgical and telemetry unit. Your role will involve monitoring and managing the care of patients with a variety of medical conditions, including those requiring telemetry monitoring.
Responsibilities:
– Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for patients admitted to the MedSurg/Tele unit.
– Utilize nursing process to provide comprehensive patient care based on individualized needs.
– Monitor and interpret telemetry readings, promptly identifying any abnormalities or significant changes in patient conditions.
– Administer medications, treatments, and procedures as appropriate, ensuring accurate documentation and following established protocols.
– Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure seamless coordination of patient care.
– Educate patients and their families about their conditions, treatment plans, and medications.
– Adhere to infection control and safety protocols to maintain a clean and safe environment for patients and staff.
– Document all patient interactions, assessments, and interventions accurately and thoroughly in the electronic medical record.
– Provide emotional support to patients and their families, fostering a positive and compassionate healthcare experience.
Requirements:
– Valid and active RN license in the state of North Carolina.
– Minimum of 2 years of recent experience working in a med-surg or tele unit.
– Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
– Excellent clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
– Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with the healthcare team.
– Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
– Understanding of infection control protocols and patient safety standards.
– Proficiency in electronic medical record documentation.
– Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
