We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dynamic healthcare team in Buffalo, NY. As a Telemetry RN, you will provide direct care, monitoring, and support to patients who require cardiac monitoring in a telemetry unit. Your role will involve continuous monitoring of vital signs, interpretation of telemetry readings, and prompt response to any changes in patient condition.

Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality, comprehensive patient care to individuals requiring cardiac monitoring in a telemetry unit
• Conduct ongoing monitoring of patients’ physiological parameters, such as heart rate, blood pressure, oxygen saturation, and cardiac rhythm
• Accurately interpret telemetry readings to identify any abnormal patterns or changes in patient condition
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
• Educate patients and their families on the importance of adherence to medication and lifestyle changes for cardiac health
• Respond promptly to any emergencies or changes in patient condition and initiate appropriate interventions
• Document all patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and in a timely manner
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment by adhering to infection control policies and procedures
• Stay updated with the latest developments in cardiac care, telemetry monitoring, and nursing practices through continuous professional development and training.

Requirements:

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience working as a Telemetry RN
• BSN degree preferred, but not required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Knowledge of cardiac rhythms, arrhythmias, and the ability to accurately interpret telemetry readings
• Proficient in using EHR systems and other healthcare software for documentation
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with patients, their families, and the healthcare team
• Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time efficiently, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
