$2420 – $2620 weekly

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Stepdown Registered Nurse to join our dedicated healthcare team in Rochester, NY. As a Stepdown RN, you will work under the direction of the Nurse Manager to provide quality patient care in an intermediate care unit setting. Your responsibilities will include monitoring patients’ conditions, administering medications, coordinating with the interdisciplinary healthcare team, and educating patients and their families.

Responsibilities:

 

  • Assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care within the Stepdown unit.
  • Monitoring patients’ vital signs, cardiac rhythms, and oxygenation levels.
  • Administering medications, intravenous therapy, and performing other nursing interventions as required.
  • Collaborating with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure patient needs are met and create individualized care plans.
  • Documenting patient assessments, treatments, and responses to interventions accurately and timely.
  • Providing emotional support and education to patients and their families, involving them in the care planning process.
  • Ensuring compliance with all hospital policies, procedures, and protocols.
  • Participating in clinical and educational activities to enhance professional growth and development.
  • Adhering to infection control and safety protocols.

Requirements:

 

  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of New York.
  • At least 2 years of experience as an RN in an acute care setting, preferably in a Stepdown or Intermediate Care Unit.
  • BLS and ACLS certification.
  • Excellent clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple responsibilities.
  • Proficiency in using electronic medical records and other healthcare-related software.
