Travel Nurse – PACU

4x10s – 40hrs – 9a-7:30p, 11a-9:30p, 1p-11:30p.

13 Weeks

$80/hr – $3200 weekly

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Post Anesthesia Registered Nurse to join our healthcare team in Rochester, NY. As a crucial member of our medical staff, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to patients in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU).

Responsibilities:

– Evaluate patients’ condition and assess their readiness for discharge from the PACU

– Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and manage pain for post-anesthesia patients

– Collaborate with the anesthesia team to develop and implement individualized care plans

– Monitor patients for any signs of complications or adverse reactions to anesthesia

– Assist and provide emotional support to patients as they recover from anesthesia

– Document all patient information and maintain accurate records on their progress

– Communicate effectively with other members of the healthcare team to ensure coordinated care

Requirements:

– Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York State

– Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or equivalent qualification

– Minimum of two years of experience working in a post-anesthesia care setting

– Strong knowledge of anesthesia, post-operative care, and pain management protocols

– Excellent assessment and critical thinking skills

– Ability to prioritize and make decisions under pressure

– Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills

– Demonstrate empathy, compassion, and a commitment to providing patient-centered care
