Travel Nurse – Progressive Care Unit, Registered Nurse (RN)

We are currently seeking a dedicated and skilled PCU Registered Nurse to join our healthcare team at Seven Healthcare located in Atlanta, GA. As a PCU RN, you will be responsible for providing specialized nursing care to patients within our Progressive Care Unit. Our ideal candidate will have a strong clinical background and possess excellent interpersonal and critical-thinking skills.

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care, including assessment, planning, and implementation of nursing interventions for patients within the Progressive Care Unit.
• Monitor and interpret vital signs, EKGs, cardiac rhythms, oxygen saturation levels, and other patient parameters to identify changes in patient condition and respond accordingly.
• Administer medications, IV therapy, and other treatments as ordered by physicians.
• Collaborate and communicate effectively with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare professionals.
• Effectively manage and prioritize patient care based on acuity and hospital protocols.
• Ensure accurate and timely documentation of patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes.
• Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding their conditions, treatments, and discharge plans.
• Adhere to patient safety guidelines, infection control protocols, and regulatory standards.
• Stay abreast of current trends and practices in PCU nursing through ongoing professional development and participation in continuing education opportunities.
• Maintain a compassionate and empathetic approach while providing patient care, fostering a positive and healing environment.

Requirements:

• Current and unrestricted RN license in the state of Georgia.
• Minimum of 1-2 years of experience working as a Registered Nurse in a Progressive Care setting.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certifications.
• Knowledge of cardiac monitoring and interpretation of EKG rhythms.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage time effectively and work independently or as part of a team.
• Excellent critical-thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Demonstrated ability to provide patient-centered care and exhibit empathy and compassion towards patients and their families.
