We are currently seeking a dedicated and skilled PCU Registered Nurse to join our healthcare team at Seven Healthcare located in Charlotte, North Carolina. As a PCU RN, you will be responsible for providing specialized nursing care to patients within our Progressive Care Unit. Our ideal candidate will have a strong clinical background and possess excellent interpersonal and critical-thinking skills.

Responsibilities:

1. Provide direct patient care, including assessment, planning, and implementation of nursing interventions for patients within the Progressive Care Unit.
2. Monitor and interpret vital signs, EKGs, cardiac rhythms, oxygen saturation levels, and other patient parameters to identify changes in patient condition and respond accordingly.
3. Administer medications, IV therapy, and other treatments as ordered by physicians.
4. Collaborate and communicate effectively with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare professionals.
5. Effectively manage and prioritize patient care based on acuity and hospital protocols.
6. Ensure accurate and timely documentation of patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes.
7. Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding their conditions, treatments, and discharge plans.
8. Adhere to patient safety guidelines, infection control protocols, and regulatory standards.
9. Stay abreast of current trends and practices in PCU nursing through ongoing professional development and participation in continuing education opportunities.
10. Maintain a compassionate and empathetic approach while providing patient care, fostering a positive and healing environment.

Requirements:

• Current and unrestricted RN license in the state of North Carolina.
• Minimum of 1-2 years of experience working as a Registered Nurse in a Progressive Care setting.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certifications.
• Knowledge of cardiac monitoring and interpretation of EKG rhythms.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage time effectively and work independently or as part of a team.
• Excellent critical-thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Demonstrated ability to provide patient-centered care and exhibit empathy and compassion towards patients and their families.
