Travel Nurse – Operating Room
3x12s – 36hrs – Days
14 Weeks
$75/hr – $2700 weekly

We are currently seeking a skilled Operating Room Registered Nurse to join our highly dedicated healthcare team in Ithaca, NY. As an Operating Room RN, you will play a vital role in the surgical team, providing exceptional patient care and assisting surgeons in performing a variety of surgical procedures.
Responsibilities:
– Assist surgeons and other healthcare professionals in the operating room during surgical procedures
– Set up and maintain surgical equipment and instruments before and after surgeries
– Ensure a sterile and safe environment within the operating room, including proper use of PPE
– Monitor patients’ vital signs, anesthesia administration, and surgical site during procedures
– Administer medications and provide pre-operative and post-operative care to patients
– Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
– Educate patients and their families on post-operative care and recovery process
– Efficiently document patients’ medical charts, records, and reports
Requirements:
– Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of New York
– Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred, but not required
– Minimum of 2 years of experience working in an operating room or surgical setting
– Strong knowledge of surgical procedures, equipment, and sterile techniques
– Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills
– Ability to work effectively under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
– Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
– Attention to detail and high level of accuracy in patient care
– Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications
