Travel Nurse – Neurology

3x12s – 36hrs – Nights – 7p to 7a

$80/hr – $2880 weekly

As a Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in neurology, you will play a crucial role in the assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and support of patients with neurological disorders. Under the direction of the healthcare team, you will provide comprehensive care, monitor patient progress, administer medications, and educate patients and their families on relevant conditions and treatment options.

Responsibilities:

– Conduct initial patient evaluations, including taking patient history, performing physical examinations, and reviewing medical records.

– Administer and monitor neurological assessments, ensuring accurate and timely documentation.

– Execute nursing interventions, including the administration of medications, treatments, and diagnostic tests.

– Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans.

– Evaluate patient responses to treatments and interventions, adjusting care plans as necessary.

– Educate patients and families on neurological conditions, treatment options, and self-care techniques.

– Provide emotional support and guidance to patients and families throughout their treatment journey.

– Adhere to all ethical, legal, and professional standards of nursing practice.

– Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and document all nursing interventions.

Requirements:

– Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Connecticut (or eligible to obtain).

– Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree preferred.

– Minimum of 2 years of relevant neurology nursing experience.

– Certification in Neurology Nursing preferred (e.g., CNRN).

– Excellent clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.

– Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with patients, families, and the healthcare team.

– Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

– Knowledge of relevant nursing protocols, procedures, and regulations.

– Proficient in electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
