Travel Nurse – Neuro ICU

$80/hr – $2880 weekly

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team in the Neuro Intensive Care Unit (Neuro ICU) at our prestigious healthcare facility in Hartford, CT. As an RN in our Neuro ICU, you will have a crucial role in providing specialized care to patients with neurological conditions, including stroke, traumatic brain injuries, seizures, and other critical neurological illnesses.

Responsibilities:

 

– Provide direct and indirect nursing care to patients in the Neuro ICU, ensuring their physical and emotional well-being.

– Assess patients’ conditions and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop individualized care plans.

– Administer medications, perform treatments, and monitor vital signs to ensure patients’ stability and improvement.

– Operate and manage specialized neurological monitoring equipment.

– Communicate effectively with patients, their families, and the healthcare team to provide education and emotional support.

– Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and optimize outcomes.

– Participate in multidisciplinary rounds, care conferences, and quality improvement initiatives.

– Document patient information accurately and timely using electronic medical records systems.

Requirements:

 

– Valid RN licensure in the state of Connecticut.

– Minimum of 2 years of experience in a critical care setting, preferably in a Neuro ICU.

– Strong knowledge and experience in caring for patients with neurological conditions, including advanced neurologic assessment skills.

– Knowledge of various neurological monitoring equipment and technology.

– Excellent critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

– Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.

– Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.

– Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.

– ACLS certification preferred.
