We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate MedSurg/Tele Registered Nurse to join our healthcare team in Buffalo. As a MedSurg/Tele RN, you will be responsible for providing effective and efficient care to patients on the medical-surgical and telemetry units. Our ideal candidate will have a strong clinical background, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care in accordance with the established protocols and standards of practice.
• Assess patient needs, develop and implement individualized care plans, and evaluate the effectiveness of interventions.
• Administer medications, treatments, and procedures as ordered by physicians.
• Monitor and interpret telemetry data, recognizing and responding to any deviations from the norm.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to coordinate patient care and ensure optimal outcomes.
• Educate patients and their families on various aspects of care, self-management, and treatment plans.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure a safe and therapeutic environment for patients.
• Document patient care and outcomes accurately and in a timely manner.
• Adhere to relevant regulatory and professional standards, including infection control protocols.

Requirements:

• Valid RN license in the state of New York.
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred but not required.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in MedSurg/Tele nursing.
• BLS and ACLS certification.
• Strong knowledge of medical-surgical and telemetry nursing principles and practices.
• Excellent critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Effective communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with electronic medical records and healthcare technology.
