$72/hr – $2592 weekly

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dynamic team as an RN MedSurg in Hartford, CT. As an RN MedSurg, you will play a critical role in providing comprehensive nursing care to patients in a medical-surgical setting. This position requires excellent clinical skills, strong communication abilities, and a compassionate approach to patient care.

Responsibilities:

 

– Deliver compassionate and personalized nursing care to patients in a medical-surgical unit, utilizing the nursing process.

– Assess patients’ conditions and develop or contribute to individualized care plans.

– Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring accuracy and safety.

– Monitor and document patients’ vital signs, collect laboratory specimens, and assist with diagnostic tests.

– Collaborate with the healthcare team to create a safe and healthy environment for patients.

– Educate and support patients and their families on healthcare needs, recovery, and self-management.

– Maintain accurate and detailed patients’ medical records and documentation.

– Respond to emergencies and provide immediate patient care as needed.

– Stay updated on current healthcare practices, policies, and regulations to ensure compliance.

Requirements:

 

– Current RN licensure in the state of Connecticut.

– Minimum of 2 years of experience in a MedSurg setting; experience in a critical care unit is a plus.

– Strong clinical skills, including ability to perform and interpret diagnostic tests.

– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

– Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment.

– Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.

– Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think critically.

– Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems.

– Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights and weekends.
