Job Title: Labor & Delivery, Registered Nurse (RN)

Location: Atlanta, GA

Blended Rate: $1900/wk

Shift: 3x12s – 36hrs – Nights

We are currently seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team in Atlanta, GA . As a Labor and Delivery RN, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional care to expectant mothers and their newborns during the labor and delivery process.

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to pregnant women, assessing their physical and emotional well-being, and managing any complications that may arise during labor and delivery.
• Monitor fetal heart rate patterns and maternal vital signs, making necessary adjustments and interventions to ensure the health and safety of both mother and baby.
• Administer medications, IV fluids, and pain management techniques as required, and document all procedures accurately and timely.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members, including physicians, midwives, and other specialists, to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Educate expectant mothers and their families on prenatal care, labor and delivery processes, breastfeeding, and newborn care.
• Assist in postpartum recovery by providing postpartum assessments, breastfeeding support, and emotional care to new mothers.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for patients and adhere to infection control protocols.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the overall improvement of patient care in the labor and delivery unit.

Requirements:

• Valid and current RN license in the state of Georgia.
• Minimum of 2 years of recent Labor and Delivery nursing experience in a hospital setting.
• BSN degree (preferred), but ADN or diploma with equivalent experience will be considered.
• BLS and NRP certifications.
• Knowledge of the labor and delivery process, including experience with high-risk pregnancies and emergency situations.
• Strong critical thinking skills and ability to make quick decisions in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaborate effectively with others in a team-oriented environment.
