Travel Nurse – Intensive Care Unit

3×12 – 36hrs – Nights – 7p to 7a

13 weeks

$75/hr – $2700 weekly

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate ICU Registered Nurse to join our team in Hartford, CT. As an ICU RN, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care in the intensive care unit. Your primary responsibility will be to assess, monitor, and administer care to critically ill patients, while collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure effective treatment and recovery. Your exceptional clinical skills, attention to detail, and ability to stay calm under pressure will be crucial to your success in this role.

Responsibilities:

 

– Utilize advanced assessment skills to identify critical conditions and intervene promptly and appropriately

– Monitor and evaluate patient progress, recognizing subtle changes in condition and taking appropriate action

– Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and hospital policies

– Implement and maintain accurate patient records, including documentation of observations, interventions, and outcomes

– Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans

– Provide emotional support and education to patients, families, and caregivers

– Assist with patient transfers, procedures, and code blue events as needed

– Adhere to infection control and safety protocols, ensuring a clean and secure environment

– Stay up-to-date with industry advancements, evidence-based practices, and continuing education requirements

Requirements:

 

– Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York State

– Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

– Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in an ICU or critical care setting

– Current BLS and ACLS certifications

– Excellent clinical judgment and critical thinking skills

– Strong communication and interpersonal skills

– Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-stress environment

– Flexibility to work day, evening, and night shifts, as well as weekends and holidays
