Travel Nurse – Endoscopy

$80/hr – $3200 weekly

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Endoscopy Registered Nurse with experience in providing quality care to patients undergoing endoscopic procedures. As an Endoscopy RN, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and smooth operation of the endoscopy unit by following established protocols and providing direct patient care.
Responsibilities:
– Perform initial patient assessments, including medical history, allergies, and current medications
– Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop individualized care plans for endoscopy patients
– Administer medications and sedatives as ordered and monitor patient responses during procedures
– Assist the endoscopist during examinations and procedures, providing necessary instruments and equipment
– Monitor patient vital signs and reactions to medications during procedures
– Assess patient conditions post-procedure and provide appropriate interventions and referrals, if needed
– Educate patients and their families about the procedure, anticipated outcomes, and aftercare instructions
– Ensure proper documentation of patient records, including vital signs, medications administered, and patient responses
– Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain a clean and safe environment
– Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure effective communication and continuity of care
Requirements:
– Valid RN license in the state of New York, USA
– Minimum of two years of experience in an acute care setting, preferably in an endoscopy unit or gastroenterology department
– Strong knowledge of endoscopy procedures, equipment, and patient care practices
– Proficient in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care
– Effective communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members
– Ability to prioritize and manage multiple patients and tasks simultaneously
– Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and record-keeping
– Basic computer skills and familiarity with electronic medical records systems
