Job Description:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our emergency room team at a renowned healthcare facility in Mariette, GA. As an essential member of our emergency medicine team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to patients who require immediate medical attention. Your ability to think quickly in critical situations and effectively collaborate with the multi-disciplinary team will be crucial to ensuring the delivery of timely and efficient care.
Responsibilities:
– Assess patients’ conditions promptly and accurately upon arrival in the emergency room.
– Perform triage and categorize patients based on the severity of their condition, ensuring that those with life-threatening emergencies are prioritized.
– Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized treatment plans that address patients’ immediate needs.
– Administer medications, treatments, and therapies as prescribed, ensuring the accurate documentation of all interventions.
– Monitor and report any changes in patients’ conditions, responding swiftly to emergency situations and initiating appropriate interventions.
– Utilize specialized knowledge and skills to perform various emergency medical procedures, including CPR, wound suturing, and intravenous therapy administration.
– Educate patients and their families on the nature of their condition and provide instructions regarding post-emergency care and follow-up requirements.
– Maintain accurate records of patients’ medical history, treatment plans, and progress in compliance with organizational policies and regulatory guidelines.
– Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain a safe and clean environment for patients, staff, and visitors.
– Act as an advocate for patients, ensuring their rights and preferences are respected during their emergency room stay.
Requirements:
– Active Registered Nurse license in the state of Georgia.
– Minimum of 2 years’ experience in emergency room nursing.
– Proficient in the use of electronic medical records systems and other relevant technology.
– Exceptional critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make quick decisions under pressure.
– Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with the healthcare team and provide compassionate care to patients in distress.
– Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, ensuring accurate documentation and efficient management of multiple tasks.
– Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays.
– Current certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) preferred.
