Travel Nurse – Emergency Room

3x12s – 36hrs – Days/ Nights Rotating

13 weeks

$77.78/hr – $2800 Weekly

We are seeking an experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dedicated team in Geneva, NY. As an ER RN, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care in a fast-paced and challenging environment. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans.

Responsibilities:

1. Assess and quickly respond to patient needs during emergency situations.
2. Perform triage, prioritize patients based on their condition, and initiate immediate interventions as required.
3. Administer medications, start IV lines, and ensure accurate documentation of all treatments and interventions.
4. Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to patients.
5. Monitor and record vital signs, update patient charts, and ensure accurate and timely documentation of patient care in compliance with hospital policies.
6. Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families regarding their conditions, treatment plans, medications, and post-discharge care.
7. Adhere to infection control and safety protocols to maintain a clean and safe work environment for patients, staff, and visitors.
8. Actively participate in continuous education programs to stay updated with the latest advancements in emergency nursing practices.
9. Demonstrate effective communication and teamwork skills to foster a positive working environment.
10. Adhere to ethical principles and maintain patient confidentiality at all times.

Requirements:

1. Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of New York.
2. Minimum of 2 years of experience in emergency room nursing. Trauma experience is highly preferred.
3. BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
4. Excellent critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
5. Ability to remain calm and focused during high-stress situations.
6. Strong organizational and time management skills to effectively prioritize tasks.
7. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
8. Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
9. Willingness to work rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays as required.
10. Knowledge of electronic medical record systems and computer proficiency.
