Travel Nurse – Cardiac Thoracic Intensive Care Unit
3x12s – 36hrs – 7p to 7a – Nights

$80/hr – $2880 Weekly

As an RN specializing in Cardiac Thoracic Intensive Care Unit (CTICU), you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care, support, and monitoring to individuals with complex cardiovascular and thoracic conditions. This position is based in the vibrant city of Hartford, CT.
Responsibilities:
– Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for patients in the CTICU.
– Provide direct nursing care to patients with cardiac and thoracic conditions, including post-operative patients and those requiring continuous intensive care.
– Monitor vital signs, administer medications, and assist with diagnostic tests and procedures.
– Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
– Ensure accurate documentation of patient information and maintain medical records.
– Educate patients and their families on disease management, medications, and lifestyle modifications.
– Respond to medical emergencies and provide immediate interventions as necessary.
– Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to promote a safe and healing environment.
Requirements:
– Valid, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Connecticut.
– Minimum of 2 years of experience in an intensive care unit, preferably in a CTICU.
– Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred.
– Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification is required.
– Strong knowledge of cardiac and thoracic conditions, as well as related surgical interventions.
– Excellent assessment, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
– Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
