4x10s – 40hrs  – 6:45a-5:15p

$52.50/hr – $2100 Weekly

We are currently seeking a skilled and dedicated Cath Lab Registered Nurse to join our healthcare team in Lawrenceville, Georgia. As a Cath Lab RN, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality care to patients undergoing cardiac catheterization procedures.

Responsibilities:

 

  1. Collaborate with the medical team, including cardiologists and interventional radiologists, to perform diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures in the Cath Lab.
  2. Assist in the preparation and setting up of the Cath Lab for procedures, ensuring all necessary supplies and equipment are available and functioning properly.
  3. Prepare patients for procedures by obtaining vital signs, conducting patient assessments, and explaining the procedure and potential risks in a clear and compassionate manner.
  4. Monitor patients during procedures, including heart rhythm and vital signs, intervening promptly when necessary to ensure patient safety and comfort.
  5. Administer medications, as prescribed by the cardiologist or physician, and accurately document all medications given during procedures.
  6. Assess and document patient responses to procedures, making appropriate nursing interventions, and escalate any concerns or changes in condition to the medical team.
  7. Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients undergoing cardiac catheterization procedures.
  8. Educate patients and their families about post-procedure care and provide instructions for follow-up appointments and medications.
  9. Adhere to all applicable policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and promote a safe working environment.
  10. Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to enhance knowledge and skills in the Cath Lab setting.
  11. Maintain patient confidentiality and demonstrate sensitivity to patients’ cultural, spiritual, and psychosocial needs.

Requirements:

 

  1. Valid and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Georgia, or eligible for licensure.
  2. Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in cardiac catheterization, interventional cardiology, or a related field. Cath Lab experience preferred.
  3. Strong knowledge of cardiac anatomy, physiology, and pathophysiology, as well as familiarity with various cardiac procedures and equipment.
  4. BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications.
  5. Excellent assessment skills, critical thinking abilities, and the ability to respond calmly and efficiently in high-pressure situations.
  6. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate and communicate with patients, families, and healthcare providers.
  7. Attention to detail and the ability to accurately document patient information and procedures.
  8. Proficiency in using electronic medical record systems and other relevant healthcare technologies.
