$52.78/hr – $1900 Weekly

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Bone Marrow Transplant Nurse (RN) to join our team at our prestigious medical facility in Atlanta, GA. As a Bone Marrow Transplant Nurse, you will be responsible for providing exceptional care to patients undergoing bone marrow transplantation.

Responsibilities:

 

  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate and provide comprehensive care for bone marrow transplant patients throughout the transplant process.
  • Assess patient needs and develop individualized care plans to ensure the best possible outcomes.
  • Administer chemotherapy, radiation, and other transplant-related medications in accordance with established protocols.
  • Monitor patients’ vital signs, laboratory values, and overall condition to identify any changes or complications.
  • Educate patients and their families about the transplantation process, including pre- and post-transplant care, potential side effects, and self-management strategies.
  • Coordinate and facilitate communication between the transplant team, patient, and family to ensure a seamless continuum of care.
  • Perform nursing procedures specific to bone marrow transplant, such as central line management, peripheral blood stem cell collection, and graft-versus-host disease management.
  • Provide emotional support and counseling to patients and families throughout the transplant journey.
  • Collaborate with social workers, case managers, and other healthcare professionals to facilitate discharge planning and ensure a smooth transition to the next phase of care.
  • Stay updated on the latest research and advancements in bone marrow transplantation to enhance patient care and outcomes.

 

Requirements:

 

  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Georgia or a compact state licence.
  • Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in an acute care setting, preferably in bone marrow transplantation or hematology/oncology.
  • Certification in Oncology or Bone Marrow Transplant (BMTCN) is highly desirable.
  • BLS and ACLS certifications.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and make quick decisions in critical situations.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills to manage multiple patients and tasks efficiently.
  • Flexibility to work day, evening, and weekend shifts as required.
