We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team at a corrections facility in Augusta, GA. As a Corrections RN, you will be responsible for providing quality healthcare services to inmates within the facility. This is a critical role that requires strong assessment, communication, and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct health assessments and screenings on inmates upon intake
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the healthcare team
• Monitor and address changes in inmate health status
• Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans
• Provide health education and counseling to inmates on various health topics
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records
• Respond to medical emergencies and provide immediate care when needed
• Adhere to all healthcare policies and procedures within the corrections facility

Requirements:

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Georgia
• Previous experience in a corrections or similar healthcare setting preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Basic life support (BLS) and advanced cardiac life support (ACLS) certifications
• Understanding of and commitment to patient confidentiality and ethical standards
