We are looking for an MRI Technologist for a 13 week contract in Charlotte, NC.

• Mon-Thur 19:30 – 5:30 AM
• ARRT (MR) or AMRIT BCLS/CPR
• BLS

$60 to $70 an hour

MRI Technologist Qualifications:

• MRI experience preferred.
• Formal MRI training a significant benefit.
• Registry with either the NMTCB, ARRT (N), or ARRT (R) required. Advanced Registry in MRl beneficial.

MRI Tech Duties & Responsibilities:

• Possesses overall knowledge of MR physics, including how the selection of parameters and options affects image quality. Demonstrates competence in the acquisition and processing of MRI data, including the development and implementation of new procedures. Ensures a working knowledge of affiliated computers, injector systems, patient care monitors, and other related equipment
• Maintains venipuncture technique and patient care skills appropriate for administration of MRI contrast materials. Is knowledgeable in their clinical applications as well as precautions specific to MRI contrast agents.
• Is  authorized to obtain medication, radiopharmaceuticals, or contrast material as directed for administration by a licensed practitioner, authorized/certified technologist, or registered nurse. Medications to include radioisotopes and contrast materials cannot be administered without appropriate clinical credentials, training, and certification to do so. Employees designated to “obtain” these items may also participate in the ordering and distribution of inventory.
• Maintains the technical versatility to adapt to changes in technique or technical protocols, and provides informative input for supervisors or physicians.
