Licensed Practical Nurse – Long Term Care

3x12s – 36hrs – 7a to 7p

4 Weeks

$42/hr – $1512 weekly (Travel rate)

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Rehab LPN to join our healthcare team in Greensboro, NC. As a Rehab LPN, you will be responsible for providing quality care and assistance to patients undergoing rehabilitation treatment. Your role will involve closely collaborating with the rehabilitation team, including physicians, therapists, and support staff, to deliver holistic care and help patients regain their optimal physical and functional capabilities.

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care under the supervision of registered nurses and physicians.
• Assist in the development and implementation of a personalized care plan for each patient, based on individual needs and goals.
• Administer medications, treatments, and rehabilitative interventions according to established protocols and guidelines.
• Monitor and document patient progress, including vital signs, symptoms, and response to treatment.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary rehab team to ensure seamless delivery of care, including physical therapists, occupational therapists, and speech-language pathologists.
• Educate patients and their families on post-rehabilitation care and assist in ensuring patient compliance with treatment plans.
• Perform routine nursing procedures, such as wound care, catheterization, and tracheostomy care.
• Adapt care strategies to meet the unique needs of patients with various medical conditions and physical limitations.
• Maintain accurate and updated patient records, charts, and other documentation according to regulatory standards.

Continuously participate in professional development activities to enhance skills and stay up-to-date with best practices in rehabilitation nursing.

Requirements:

• Valid Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the state of North Carolina.
• Prior experience in rehabilitation nursing is preferred, but we will consider training exceptional candidates.
• Solid understanding of nursing techniques and procedures, particularly in the context of rehabilitation medicine.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities to address complex patient needs.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple responsibilities efficiently.
• Proficiency in using electronic medical record systems and other healthcare technologies.
