LPN – Long Term Care

4x8s – 32hrs – Nights

13 weeks

$34/hr – $1088 Weekly

We are currently seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse with experience in geriatric care to join our team in Madison, NC. As an LPN specializing in geriatrics, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional nursing care to elderly residents in our facility.

Responsibilities:

1. Assessing and monitoring the health status of geriatric patients, including vital signs, mental state, and general well-being.
2. Administering medications and treatments to patients as prescribed by the physician.
3. Assisting with personal care activities, such as bathing, dressing, and feeding.
4. Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement comprehensive care plans for each patient.
5. Maintaining accurate patient records and documentation.
6. Providing emotional support and education to patients and their families during their stay at the facility.
7. Identifying and addressing any changes or deterioration in the patient’s condition, promptly reporting to the nursing supervisor.
8. Ensuring compliance with all applicable policies, procedures, and regulations.
9. Participating in the interdisciplinary team meetings and providing input on patient care planning.

Requirements:

• Valid LPN license in the state of North Carolina.
• Proven experience in providing geriatric care is highly preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to effectively collaborate with a diverse team of healthcare professionals.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
• Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• CPR certification and basic life support training preferred.
• Knowledge of state and federal regulations related to geriatric care.
