LPN – Skilled Nursing Facility

5x8s – 40hrs – Days – 7a to 3:30p

$40/hr – $1600 weekly

We are currently hiring a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our reputable Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) located in Pittsburg, PA. As an LPN, you will play a crucial role in providing compassionate and quality nursing care to our residents. You will work under the supervision of Registered Nurses (RNs) and Nurse Practitioners (NPs) to ensure the well-being and comfort of our residents.

Responsibilities:

 

  • Ensure the overall safety, comfort, and wellbeing of residents in the SNF.
  • Administer medications and injections as prescribed by physicians.
  • Assist with resident assessments, documenting and reporting any changes in condition.
  • Collaborate with RNs and NPs to create individualized care plans and provide routine healthcare.
  • Monitor and manage healthcare equipment and supplies within the facility.
  • Perform routine medical procedures, such as dressing changes and wound care.
  • Assist with residents’ daily living activities, including bathing, grooming, and feeding.
  • Communicate and collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, therapists, and social workers, to ensure integrated care.
  • Educate residents and their families on healthcare procedures, medication management, and self-care strategies.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of residents’ medical records.

Requirements:

 

  • Valid LPN license in the state of Pennsylvania.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience working as an LPN in a Skilled Nursing Facility or a similar healthcare setting.
  • Sound knowledge of nursing practices and procedures.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and handle stressful situations with empathy and professionalism.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with residents, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Basic computer skills to document and access residents’ medical records.
  • CPR certification is required.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Willingness to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays.
