Job Title: Echo Technician

Blended Rate: $2400/wk

Shift: 5x8s – 40hrs – Evenings – 7a – 3p

We are currently seeking a skilled and dedicated Echo Technician to join our medical team in Concord, NC. As an Echo Technician, your primary responsibility will be to perform diagnostic echocardiogram procedures under the supervision of a cardiologist or other medical professionals.

Responsibilities:

• Perform echocardiogram procedures as per established protocols and guidelines
• Prepare and position patients for echocardiographic examinations
• Set up and operate echocardiographic equipment
• Capture high-quality images of the heart chambers, valves, and blood vessels using ultrasound techniques
• Record and analyze data, and prepare comprehensive reports for physicians
• Ensure proper maintenance and calibration of equipment
• Assist physicians during transesophageal echocardiography procedures when required
• Communicate and interact professionally with patients to address concerns and provide guidance throughout the procedure
• Maintain accurate and organized patient records
• Stay updated on industry advancements and new technologies in echocardiography
• Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide coordinated patient care

Requirements:

• Completion of an accredited cardiac sonography program
• Current certification as a Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) or Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS)
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Echo Technician
• Proficiency in performing echocardiograms, including transthoracic and stress echo studies
• Knowledge of cardiovascular anatomy, physiology, and disease processes
• Familiarity with different echocardiography techniques and equipment
• Strong attention to detail and excellent hand-eye coordination
• Great interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and patient privacy guidelines
• Basic computer skills for data entry and report generation
