We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced CT Technologist to join our team in Lawrenceville, GA. As a CT Technologist, you will perform a variety of diagnostic CT imaging procedures to assist in patient diagnosis and treatment. You will operate CT scanners and related equipment to produce high-quality images of the body for medical interpretation by radiologists.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform CT scan procedures, including positioning patients, adjusting equipment settings, and ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout the examination.
  • Secure and verify patient information and medical history, explaining the procedure and addressing any patient concerns or questions.
  • Operate CT scanners and associated equipment, including power injectors and imaging workstations, to capture high-resolution images.
  • Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to determine appropriate imaging protocols for optimal diagnostic outcomes.
  • Ensure accuracy and quality control of CT images, identifying any artifacts or technical issues and taking corrective action as necessary.
  • Evaluate scan results and determine if additional images are necessary, consulting with radiologists as needed for timely and accurate diagnosis.
  • Maintain detailed records of each procedure, including patient information, imaging parameters, and any adverse reactions or incidents.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines, including sterilization and sanitation procedures for equipment and examination rooms.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest technological advancements and industry best practices in CT imaging techniques.

Requirements:

  • Must be a certified Radiologic Technologist with additional certification in CT imaging.
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in CT scanning, preferably in a hospital or medical imaging center setting.
  • Strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
  • Proficiency in operating CT scanners and associated equipment, including PACS systems and 3D imaging software.
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to produce high-quality images for accurate diagnosis.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with patients, healthcare professionals, and colleagues.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment.
  • Knowledge of safety protocols and radiation protection measures.
