We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Certified Surgical Technologist to join our healthcare team in Lawrenceville, GA. As a Certified Surgical Technologist, you will play a critical role in providing essential support to surgeons and other healthcare professionals during surgical procedures. Your expertise and attention to detail will ensure the safety and comfort of our patients throughout their surgical journey.

Responsibilities:

• Preparing the operating room for surgical procedures, ensuring that all necessary equipment and supplies are available and properly sterilized.
• Assisting surgeons and other healthcare professionals during surgical procedures by passing instruments, supplies, and other necessary items.
• Anticipating the needs of the surgical team to maintain smooth and efficient operations in the operating room.
• Managing and organizing surgical equipment and supplies, ensuring proper handling and disposal of hazardous materials.
• Collaborating with nurses, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care before, during, and after surgery.
• Providing immediate assistance during emergencies and critical situations in the operating room.
• Maintaining accurate documentation of procedures and patient records.
• Adhering to established protocols and infection control guidelines to prevent the spread of infections.

Requirements:

• Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) from an accredited program.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Surgical Technologist.
• Excellent knowledge of surgical instruments, equipment, and procedures.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to anticipate the needs of the surgical team.
• Knowledge of infection control procedures and protocols.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced surgical environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Physical stamina and manual dexterity to handle equipment and work extended hours if needed.
• Knowledge of relevant legal and ethical principles related to surgical technology.
