$20/hr – $800 Weekly

Position Overview:

We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Long-Term Care (LTC) Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our team in Penn Yan, NY. As an essential member of our healthcare facility, you will be responsible for providing personal care and assistance to residents in need of long-term care services. Your role will be crucial in ensuring the overall well-being and comfort of our residents.

Responsibilities:

 

– Assist residents with their daily living activities, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and feeding.

– Help residents with mobility and transferring between beds, chairs, and wheelchairs, following safe lifting and transferring techniques.

– Provide emotional support and companionship to residents, promoting a friendly and caring environment.

– Observe and document residents’ conditions, including any changes in behavior, physical health, or emotional state, and report to the appropriate medical personnel.

– Assist in monitoring residents’ vital signs and ensure the administration of prescribed medications under the supervision of a nurse.

– Maintain a clean and organized living space for each resident by tidying up rooms, changing bed linens, and ensuring proper disposal of waste.

– Collaborate with the nursing and medical staff to develop and update care plans for each resident, ensuring individualized attention and addressing specific needs.

– Adhere to all safety protocols, infection control procedures, and ethical standards to ensure a safe and respectful environment for both residents and staff.

– Participate in training and continued education programs to enhance knowledge and skills in geriatric care and related areas.

Requirements:

 

– Valid certification as a Nursing Assistant or Certified Nurse Aide (CNA).

– Previous experience working in long-term care or assisted living facilities is preferred.

– Knowledge of basic nursing care procedures, hygiene practices, and patient safety protocols.

– Ability to communicate effectively and demonstrate empathy and patience towards residents in their daily activities.

– Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to maintain accurate records and provide timely reports.

– Flexibility to work day, evening, night shifts, weekends, and holidays as per the facility’s needs.

– Current CPR and First Aid certification is desirable.

– Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
