Key Responsibilities of the RN – PACU – Post Anesthetic Care

• Provide comprehensive post-anesthetic care utilizing nursing theories and evidence-based practices.
• Coordinate and delegate nursing tasks to appropriate resources.
• Use judgment to manage resources effectively for optimal patient care.
• Promote self-respect, dignity, and diversity in patient interactions.

Requirements of the RN – PACU – Post Anesthetic Care

• Graduate of a CCNE or ACEN accredited nursing program.
• Current registered nursing license in the State of Ohio.
• 2+ years of recent PACU experience.
• Epic experience within the last 12 months.
• 1+ year of phlebotomy experience.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required upon hire or within six weeks.
• Additional certifications may be necessary for specialty areas (e.g., PALS, NIHSS).
