Key Responsibilities of the RN – Med Surg – Travel

• Provide comprehensive nursing care across multiple medical-surgical units
• Float to areas with MedSurg patients, including ER Holding/Boarding
• Care for a range of patient types, including surgical, orthopedic, cardiac, and oncology (non-chemo administration)
• Manage common surgical and medical conditions
• Execute medication administration, including IV skills and titrating drips
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and ensure effective communication

Requirements of the RN – Med Surg – Travel

• Active RN license
• Minimum 2 years MedSurg experience
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
• Proficient with EMR systems, experience with EPIC required
• Strong skills in chest tubes, trach management, and cardiac rhythm interpretation
