Key Responsibilities of the RN – Labor and Delivery

• Manage vaginal and c-section deliveries
• Provide care through assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation
• Direct and coordinate nursing care for labor, delivery, postpartum, and high-risk antepartum patients

Requirements of the RN – Labor and Delivery

• Minimum of 1-year current acute care hospital L&D experience
• BLS, ACLS, NRP, AWHONN or EFM certifications
