Shifts: D/N/W/Holiday rotation – PART TIME (2x12s) + 2 on call shifts in 4 weeks

Key Responsibilities of the Emergency Department Registered Nurse

• Connect with patients and families during triage to manage and prioritize care according to Triage Standards.
• Conduct primary and secondary assessments using direct observation and information from patient/family interviews and EMS reports.
• Encourage and foster trust among team members to achieve the best patient outcomes.
• Prepare patients and families for diagnostic procedures, provide education for post-emergency care, and ensure understanding of discharge instructions.
• Maintain awareness of patients' conditions throughout the ER visit and keep them informed of their care process.

Requirements of the Emergency Department Registered Nurse

• BLS, ACLS, PALS, Stroke Certification (Must be AHA or RQI)
• Two years of acute hospital experience as an RN
• One year of ED hospital experience as an RN
