Key Responsibilities of the RN – Cath Lab

• Perform interventional cardiac catheterization and special procedures.
• Manage cardiac stent placements and diagnostic catheterizations for adults.
• Conduct procedures such as angioplasty, embolization, nephrostomy, and other interventional radiology tasks.
• Ensure proper monitoring of procedural sedation and IV infusion pumps.
• Administer emergency medications and manage patient dysrhythmias.

Requirements of the RN – Cath Lab

• Active NY RN license
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Cath and IR Labs
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS
• Competency with phlebotomy and IV placements
• Experience with EPIC charting system
