Key Responsibilities of the Respiratory Therapist

• Perform tracheostomy care and manage nitrous oxide procedures
• Utilize proning techniques and participate in ECMO procedures
• Engage in critical care experience and prevention of ventilator-associated pneumonia
• Conduct spontaneous breathing trials and arterial blood gas draws

Requirements of the Respiratory Therapist

• Active IL Respiratory Therapist license
• Active BLS, ACLS (AHA), PALS, NRP certifications
• RRT certification (CRT accepted)
• EPIC experience
• Minimum of 2 years experience with pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients
