Key Responsibilities of the Respiratory Therapist

• Administer treatments, including all RT therapies
• Ventilator set up and management, including assistance with intubation
• Conduct arterial blood gas analysis
• Provide patient and staff education
• Collaborate effectively with ED, PEDS, ICU, NICU, and MED/SURG units

Requirements of the Respiratory Therapist

• Minimum of 6 months current acute care hospital RRT experience
• BLS, ACLS, NRP, and PALS certifications
• CRT or NBRC credentialing
• Preferred: Prior Meditech, PICU, and NICU experience
