Key Responsibilities of the Interventional Radiology Technologist

• Perform peripheral diagnostic and intervention procedures
• Conduct thrombolysis, chest tubes, kyphoplasty, paracentesis/thoracentesis
• Manage CT/RFA ablations, g-tube placements, and exchanges
• Conduct PICC and tunneled catheter placements
• Handle nephrostomy tubes, dialysis grafts, and drain placements

Requirements of the Interventional Radiology Technologist

• IEMA (IL license)
• ARRT certification
• BLS and ACLS certifications
• 2 years of IR experience required
