Key Responsibilities of the Endoscopy Technician (GI Tech)

• Apply principles of aseptic technique to equipment preparation and maintenance during procedures.
• Disassemble and perform preventive maintenance for all procedure supplies and equipment.
• Conduct pre-cleaning, inspection, leak testing, cleaning, and high-level disinfection of endoscopes.
• Determine methods of High-Level Disinfection mode according to materials and manufacturer instructions.
• Perform ambulatory technician duties, such as documenting vital signs and patient transport.

Requirements of the Endoscopy Technician (GI Tech)

• Completion of at least 1 travel assignment.
• HLD Certification highly encouraged.
• 2 years of experience required.
