Key Responsibilities of the Cath Lab Tech

• Assist physicians in invasive procedures, including scrubbing, circulating, monitoring, and recording hemodynamic parameters.
• Participate in diagnostic interventional procedures, operating interventional equipment appropriately.
• Ensure the safety and comfort of patients during examinations and procedures.
• Set up sterile tray, clean and dispose after procedures.
• Assist with administration of contrast media and maintain inventory for the department.
• Perform routine safety checks and inventory maintenance.
• Keep current with new developments in Electrophysiology.
• Perform other work-related duties as assigned.

Requirements of the Cath Lab Tech

• Associate's degree or higher in Cardiovascular Technology or equivalent experience.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
• Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) certification preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years recent experience in a Cardiac Cath Lab.
• Knowledge of and experience with procedures such as Aortagram, Carotid, and Dialysis among others.
