Key Responsibilities of the Cath Lab Tech

• Support and assist in the performance of cardiac catheterizations and related procedures
• Maintain and operate equipment used in the Cath Lab
• Ensure patient safety and care throughout procedures
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to provide optimal patient outcomes

Requirements of the Cath Lab Tech

• Current New York State registration or a limited permit to practice in New York
• Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
• Advanced certification as ARRT-CV or Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS)
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Adult Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
